In Australia we recognise charities and non-profit organisations as an essential part of our community. Collectively they enhance our society by providing essential services to those most in need, they foster and contribute to strong public policy and they advocate for positive change.
Charities however do have an enormous responsibility. The responsibility of good governance.Ultimately the board (or committee of management) are expected to ensure the appropriate running of the organisation, oversight of property and finances and the employment of its staff and/or engagement of volunteers. Whilst being a board member can be incredibly rewarding, the responsibilities can seem overwhelming and complex.
For this reason, Collective Spark is pleased to offer support to charities with their governance requirements.
